I love getting feedback from Ocean Blue clients and mates fishing. This one however really floored me yesterday afternoon, 2 anglers landing 100 kingfish in a day at Tauranga, all on topwater!

Kudos goes to Mark’s skippering for finding the fish, which have been moving around a bit. Day 1 saw pretty good results (that’s great by Aussie standards) for Malcolm and Chris but yesterday really sounds like it was really special. I just got of the phone to Mark and most of the fish were in the 14-16kg range with the biggest nudging 23kg.

Double hookups, kingfish on the rampage and hitting surface lures in a frenzy. Looking forward to more photo’s and report from Malcolm and Chris, who probably are feeling every one of those fish today!!
